FTTP Ethernet
FTTP Ethernet – From £60 per month
Fibre Ethernet to the Premises
FTTP Ethernet provides Ethernet quality performance without the investment of a Leased Line.
Combining Openreach’s FTTP fibre access technology with Ethernet technology and service levels delivering consistent performance for today’s business applications.
What is FTTP Ethernet?
FTTP Ethernet utilises Openreach’s Fibre to the Premise access network to deliver a full-fibre Ethernet circuit to your office without the cost of a dedicated leased line. FTTP Ethernet is the ideal solution for SMEs or Home offices who require consistent, high-quality, SLA backed performance from their internet connectivity.
FTTP Ethernet uses an entirely different network between the local BT Exchange and Spitfire’s core network. Unlike broadband networks, this Ethernet network supports end to end packet marking to identify and prioritise applications that need prioritisation across the network. This ensures consistent performance for demanding applications such as VoIP, Video Conferencing and Unified Communications.
Available in symmetric and asymmetric bandwidth profiles from 20Mbps to 1Gbps there is an FTTP Ethernet solution for all requirements and budgets.
WHO WOULD USE IT AND WHY? …
Spitfire’s FTTP Ethernet solution is an ideal option for businesses who demand more from there FTTP connection, such as:
- Where consistent VoIP, Unified Comms or Video Conferencing is required
- As a cost effective alternative to a sub-100Mb Ethernet Leased line
- As a back-up circuit to a Fibre Ethernet leased line
- When FTTP broadband does not offer the consistent performance needed by the business
KEY BENEFITS ...
- Raise your connectivity performance above broadband without the cost and lead time of a Fibre Ethernet leased line
- Symmetric bandwidth up to 100Mbps
- Asymmetric bandwidth up to 1Gbps download
- Performance SLA for Packet Loss, Latency and Jitter – Ideal for VoIP and Unified Comms
WHY ORDER FROM SPITFIRE?...
Spitfire offer a large range of configuration options for FTTP Ethernet. This gives you the right option for your specific business requirements and budget.
For an alternative to a leased line you may choose a Symmetric circuit with 100% Cos allowance; bandwidth options from 20Mbps to 100Mbps
Asymmetric circuits are available as our Standard or Premium options with 5% and 25% Cos allowances respectively. Bandwidth profiles range from 80Mbps/20Mbps to 1Gbps/220Mbps
Standard circuits are ideal for the low bandwidth high quality requirements of VoIP plus normal business data usage.
Our Premium circuits are configured for both VoIP and Unified Comms applications. Common UC applications including Microsoft Teams and Zoom will be marked as priority traffic.
WHAT IS FTTP ETHERNET? ...
FTTP Ethernet uses the same access network as FTTP Broadband. Once your connection reaches the local exchange it then connects to a managed Ethernet network, not the busy broadband networks. By using Cos (Classification of service) and QoS (Quality of Service) mechanisms, we configure your circuit and router to identify the traffic that needs protection across these busy networks. This traffic is then marked so it is given priority of general traffic. The result: your important VoIP or Unified Comms applications do not suffer the outages and service variation that occurs over Broadband connections.
